Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. With over 35 years of real estate experience, he has been actively involved with the marketing and disposition of investment-grade property and has undertaken and completed the sale of all types of real estate including office, apartment and retail properties, commercial buildings for adaptive re-use as residential, as well as sites for ground-up residential and hotel development. Neil has had numerous high-profile development and property sales during his career valued at over several billion dollars. During his 10-year tenure at Avison Young, Neil attained recognition as a company-wide top-performer by being named to inclusion in the company’s “Circle of Excellence”, a mark of distinction reserved for the company’s top transaction professional specialists nationally. He also attained an identically named honor in his prior position as an Executive Vice-President at Grubb & Ellis, where he worked for 15 years. Neil has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College and a Master of Science degree from New York University. He is an avid skier, tennis player and squash player. He also has an affinity for black & white photography, which he collects.
